Welcome! I’m Athena, the groomer behind Jasper’s Tidy Tails. I provide one-on-one dog grooming services for dogs in Inyokern, Ridgecrest, and nearby communities.
My approach centers on understanding how dogs think, feel, and respond, so each appointment supports their confidence and overall well-being.
My journey into grooming began with my own dog, Jasper. After a stressful grooming experience left him fearful and overwhelmed, I began learning how to groom him myself. That experience showed me just how much the environment, handling, and approach can shape a dog’s experience—not just in the moment, but long after.
Along the way, I earned a B.S. in Animal Health & Behavior and built on that foundation through formal grooming education. Combined with my experience in veterinary settings, this helps guide a thoughtful, behavior-informed approach to every dog I work with.
I created Jasper’s Tidy Tails with one goal in mind: to provide a respectful, low-pressure environment where dogs feel safe—and owners feel confident knowing their pet is being cared for with both skill and compassion.
